Fitzhaven Wedding | Lake Tahoe Wedding with One Fine Day Events

We have a lively bold lakeview wedding for you today! The fabulous Liz and Sierra said their I do's at the Fitzhaven Estate overlooking the big blue lake! Their wedding was bright and stylish with playful touches of rustic elegance. And when you peel back the layers of the day you will see that this lovely couple was surrounded by friends who can dance, family who loves them dearly, and a beautiful celebration that was enjoyed by all!

I LOVE this guy's dance moves!!!

About the Wedding ~

With their saucy salsa first dance, Liz and Sierra kicked off their first moments of marriage with a splash of fun! We loved planning and designing this soiree! They had a super bold and bright color palette, a fresh design style that mixed in lots of organic and slightly rustic elements, and not to mention they are such a great and fun couple! Congratulations Liz and Sierra - we wish you all the best!

One Fine Day Photo Shoot featured on Mountainside Bride!

Today we had the incredible honor of being featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs! Mountainside Bride is an absolutely fabulous blog dedicated to all things mountain + bride and we could not be more excited to have our photo-shoot featured today! This photo-shoot took place at the Manzanita restaurant in the Ritz Carlton and was a combination of "Rugged Meets Refined" elements. Click here to read the full article!

We combined rugged elements found in nature with more refined pieces to create a blend of contrasts. A few of our favorite design pieces included incorporating barbed wire wrapped around glass jars with unexpected floral elements such as cotton and dried seed pods. We also spray painted tin cans different metal tones and paired them with mercury glass wrapped in lace to create a unique centerpiece. We finished the tables with a bright turquoise napkins and rugged natural slate stone used as chargers. Be sure to watch the video (below) and you can see how we put it all together!

I adore beautiful flowers and because we work with some of the best florists around we were privy to some absolutely stunning wedding bouquets last year. Being surrounded by such gorgeous flora we get so spoiled with all of the pretty  - it's a little overwhelming! Since we are all SO ready for color, Spring, Summer, and more flowers, I wanted to share some of our favorites from last year!

Tahoe Unveiled's Weekly Juice!

This week on our sister site we  created a beautiful neutral wedding palate with black and grey colors and also learned some great tips for choosing the right first dance as husband and wife! We were also treated with a very beautiful real wedding that took place on the south shore, received some great and very essential tips for choosing the right flowers for each season, and were absolutely tickled with delight to feature a post about our favorite things ever - our dogs!

I have to say that here in Tahoe, dogs rule supreme! They’re everywhere – they come to work with us, help us cut trails in the backcountry, lead the way on mountain bike trails, cross-country ski with us and love...click here to read the rest of the post!

New Years Eve Engagement Party in Lake Tahoe | One Fine Day Events

This New Years Eve we had the incredible pleasure of ringing the new year in with our lovely new clients, Jessica & Brian, and their closest family and friends! Although they had been engaged for a couple months, they hadn't quite celebrated this very celebratory-worthy affair. So, we threw them an unbelievable party at Jessica's family home in Tahoe! The family home has a country cabin feel with 100 year old wood and impeccable architecture & interior design. It's the type of home that invites you in and makes you want to cozy up on the couch with a good book and a glass of vino! And, the views are jaw dropping! Every window and balcony has an incredible view of the lake inviting you to dive right in to the big blue lake...even if it's 30 degrees outside and December 31st!

Anywho, to the party! The dinner took place upstairs in the study. We moved out all of the furniture and setup a lovely intimate soiree!

Here are the 'before' pictures during setup (forgive my very poor photography):

After setting up the tables, chivari chairs, the linens, place settings, mercury glass candle holders, and Stems by Diana's beautiful flowers, the look was complete!

Our amazing catering co, D'lish, are shown here cooking up the sumptuous feast! Below the chefs is our team prepping and producing the party!

And lastly the party room! These guys and gals danced their booties off all night under a romantic canopy of lanterns...and of course, mistletoe! D'lish created "The dessert station of all dessert stations" with s'mores, cream puffs, decadent mini cupcakes, and a cookie jar!

Thank you to D'lish Catering and Stems by Diana for helping us make this party so wonderful!
