Lake Tahoe Mountain Wedding

Best of B&B 2016 Award

Turns out it is not only award season in Hollywood! Borrowed and Blue is one of our favorite wedding blogs that is designed to inspire and guide brides and grooms from across the US in 66 specific markets. Every year they come out with the only exclusively vendor-voted wedding industry awards. It's so unique (and fun!) that B&B allows the vendors themselves to hand-pick their very favorite companies to work alongside. We believe that your vendor team needs to be comprised of people who are not only talented and fit nicely into your budget, but that they are also a joy to work with! For example, it's difficult to get a sense of a photographers communication style if you are only viewing images in their online gallery, but it's absolutely essential to have the person capturing all your precious moments be someone who you feel comfortable interacting with - not to mention smooching and crying in front of.

At One Fine Day Events we strive to ensure that the dream team we help you build is comprised of individuals that make you smile. And it makes us smile that our colleagues have chosen us for this prestigious award. We are honored to receive an award for being one of the top three Best Wedding Planners in Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe Wedding Inspiration | Elegant Farm Tables

Whether you're looking for a down-home rustic vibe or a slightly more elegant look, farm tables are the way to go! It's all a matter of either a chandelier here or a polished vase there and you can achieve the perfect look. Here are a few examples of a dressed up farm table with touches of rustic elegance...one of my personal faves!

Tahoe Unveiled's Weekly Juice!

This week on Tahoe Unveiled we were enveloped with Spring Fever!! We also had a whole "bohemian" wedding theme going, which I just love! The Bohemian vibe is all about laid back glamour with rich colors and vibrant decor. We also got a dose of swoon with a fabulous real wedding that took place amongst the mountains on the valley floor of Squaw - Gorg!

Since we're on this whole Springtime Bohemian vibe this week I've decided to cap this lovely week off with a beautiful inspiration from one of our very own wedding planning vendors, One Fine Day Events! This lovely inspirational shoot...click here to read the rest of the article!

Tahoe Unveiled's Weekly Juice!

This week our sister site brought new meaning to the word beauty with all of our gorgeous inspiration! We were convinced to throw a few beautiful and delicate anemones into our wedding bouquet, got all sorts of juicy scoop from grooms who tell their side of the wedding story, were inspired to bring back the classic beauty, pearls, into our wedding repertoire, and last but not least we were super duper excited to feature one of our favorite weddings from this summer at Martis Camp! I hope everyone has  a great weekend and enjoys this *possibly* last bit of snow we're getting!

Press & Events | One Fine Day featured on Style Me Pretty

We are so very excited and delighted to share with you one of our weddings that was featured on Style Me Pretty last week! This lovely Lake Tahoe wedding took place at Martis Camp - a beautiful venue in Truckee, CA! The gorgeous wedding palate, with it's bright pops of turquoise and yellow was so amazing to plan, coordinate, and see come to life. Many thanks to Kate Webber for capturing our vision so beautifully, Stems by Diana for the gorgeous flowers, and all the vendors listed below for helping to make this wedding so brilliant! Fab Find | Save the Veil

Outdoor wedding ceremonies can provide for gorgeous images of the bride being softly windblown with her veil trailing every so delicately behind her. What may not be so photogenic is our sometimes extremely strong Tahoe wind that can blow your veil right off of your perfectly coiffed head! Thanks to the brilliantly designed Save the Veil weight magnets, your veil will stay put for the entire duration of your ceremony and into dinner and dancing. These magnets are subtle, come in a variety of different styles such as mother of pearl or Swarovski crystal and can be easily fastened and removed without damaging your veil - brilliant!

Fab Find | Late Night Snacks

After all the dancing and drinking comes to an end, many of your guests might be looking for a little late night snack to soak up some alcohol and put their growling tummies to bed. Try rolling out some late night snacks at the end of the night to cure all the potential hangovers of the morning - with breakfast bites! Have the catering company provide little mini doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches known as croque monsieurs, or slicing up mini french toasts with a maple dipping bowl, yum!

Fab Finds | Fabric Bouquets

Fabric bouquets are all the latest craze, and they're becoming popular for good reason - they're reasonably priced, make for a great keepsake, and won't wilt, ever! Some of the latest styles even look real, others are designed with vintage brooches, creative fabrics, or embellished with dried plants and herbs. I think they're a great alternative for a bouquet; you could use it at the rehearsal for practice, have your bridesmaids carry one, or get custom fabric boutonnieres made for the groomsmen and your sweetie!

Lake Tahoe Wedding Inspiration | Wedded Bliss

Photographs are one of those unbelievable things that can transport you back in time to a special memory or occasion and it's almost like you're re-living that day all over again. I really love wedding ring photography, with both rings intermingled amongst one another. There's something so special and sweet about it- it's pure wedded bliss, just like the bride and groom!
